Boscastle Angus Beef Pie with Tomato Chutney and Fresh Parsley

Method

Step 1: Preheat & Prepare the Pie

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (170°C fan forced).
  2. Remove the Boscastle pie from packaging and place it on a lined baking tray.
  3. For chilled pies, heat in a 170°C (160°C fan forced) oven for 30-35 minutes. 
  4. Alternatively, pies may be heated in packaging. If frozen, heat for 60-65 minutes. If 
    chilled, heat for 50-55 minutes.

Step 2: Bake the Angus Beef Pie

  1. Bake according to pack instructions.

Step 3: Add the Tomato Chutney

  1. Once cooked, remove the pie from the oven.
  2. Spoon 2–3 tablespoons of tomato chutney directly onto the top.
  3. Spread gently from the centre outward, allowing the warmth of the pie to slightly melt and thin the chutney.

Step 4: Finish with Fresh Parsley

  1. Scatter fresh chopped parsley generously over the chutney.
  2. Add cracked pepper for extra aroma.
  3. Optional: sprinkle a small amount of parmesan for a savoury finish.
